We, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán (MEChA), with heavy hearts would like to extend our deepest condolences to the 50 families, friends, and partners of those who were lost Sunday morning at Pulse in Orlando, Florida. As we mourn for those killed by a man filled with both delusion and ignorance, we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle.

This cycle of violence and gun culture that at times seems to only effect the most vulnerable of groups, will not beat either of us on our journey to liberation and equity.

We express our love and sincerest condolences to those involved and their families. Your pain is felt throughout the Nation. The pain of the LGBTQIA+ and QTPOC communities is ours and we stand with you in solidarity, we love you and we are here for you.

Yours truly,

The 2016-2017 National M.E.Ch.A. Coordinating Council
National M.E.Ch.A. Organization
